Photography has been a major part of my life for the last twenty-eight years. During my photographic endeavors, I have had the pleasure of meeting many fine people, some already established or beginning photographers, and many who were (some still are) students of mine. I have been a teacher of the art since 1985. As my mentor, the late Master Photographer Jimmy Kluttz and former student of Ansel Adams, taught me, everyone is individual. They "see" subjects in a different manner. Since we strive to photograph things as we "see" them in our mind’s eye instead of the way they may actually appear everyone has a different approach to a certain subject. In the art of photography, this is what makes us truly unique and individual. We are our own persons and very different. This is what makes the art so diverse, just as all people are. I feel that photography is an ever growing art that is still very young. Close-ups are one point of photography that I enjoy that can seem abstract. If something is very close, it is almost obfuscating, because it is so close that we cannot recognize what it really is. That is the way a lot of things in life are. The truly enjoyable photographs, to me, are those of landscapes of our great nation. In fact, my "specialty" are landscapes of North and South Carolina. I feel that we have one of the most beautiful countries in the world and we must do everything we can to preserve and protect her so that our children and many more generations can enjoy what we have enjoyed, the beauty and freedom of the United States of America!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

This is my best buddy in the world with me, Adam, who is my son named for Ansel Adams.
Although I use this page as a venue sell my black and white art photographs, I also use it as a way to promote the art of photography. I sincerely hope you enjoy the digital reproductions of my original photographs here. Although the digital reproductions are nice, there is nothing that can equal the quality and luminescence of the original photograph. I will try to update the images on a regular basis, so come back frequently. All photographs sold are original silver gelatin prints and are signed, limited editions. Please see the contact page on how to obtain more information. I have included technical information on chemicals and formulas that are quite useful in photography. I have also included a basic overview of the zone system. This has been included as a resource for anyone interested. I have also included links on my contact page. If you would like to link to my site, please email the webmaster with your URL.
Thank you and enjoy your stay...
